HOPERA is having open auditions for its upcoming “HOPERA of the Year”- The Producer. We're looking for experienced operatic singers who not only love a good comedy but are brave enough to deliver lines without music (oh the horror!). Plus, we’re on the hunt for one fabulous Drag Queen to slay the stage under their own name (lip sync only). If you can sing, act, and make us laugh, we want you!

THE PRODUCER is a non-union, paid production featuring opera's greatest hits in a hilarious retelling of Der Schauspieldirektor. Audiences will be immersed in a night of music and merriment as they watch a producer audition rival singers for his company... and it goes about as well as you'd expect! This original arrangement, with re-imagined English text, is sure to have audiences tapping their toes and laughing all night to some of opera's greatest melodies!
