Well…do you? Because you should! Jazz is America’s classical music, regarded as the greatest contribution to the development of music since it was invented over 100 years ago. This June, Krista Renée Pape will sing you a story — tracing jazz from its blues and ragtime roots, to its takeover of musical theater, and finally to its continued influence in pop today. So let's grab a beer and cheers to American classical music!

This February, breweries pair their finest brews with opera's finest melodies! Experience the magical melding of taste and sound as local musicians Kaitlyn Stavinoha, Megan Berti, and Bethany Self perform opera and musical theater matched to a curated flight of locally crafted beverages. This event is a sensory duet for your ears and taste buds - come to all three and pick your favorite pairing! This performance is funded in part by the City of Houston through the Houston Arts Alliance.

Celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month with HOPERA's season opener Boleros & Arias! This Pint-Sized Performance is filled with sizzling hit tunes from Latin American composers such as María Grever, Consuelo Velázquez, Agustín Lara, and more! Featuring Luisana Rivas, mezzo-soprano, and Fernando Grimaldo, bass-baritone, with pianist Xuefei Liu, this is a performance you will not want to miss! This performance was made possible in part by the City of Houston through Houston Arts Alliance.
